Saturday - arrival, possible transport from airport or railway station on Saturday morning if logistics permit with suitable van. See advice on getting there.

Sunday - Scaraben, at 2055ft an excellent introduction walking in the region.

Monday - Ben Loyal a Corbett at 2509ft. Its isolated position and impressive profile has earned this mountain 'Queen of the Scottish Peaks'

Tuesday - A coastal walk round Dunnet Head. Puffins and other seabirds seen at close range. Impressive sea cliffs all round.

Wednesday -  Day Off to see the area at ones leisure.

Thursday - Ben Hope at 3040ft Scotland's most Northerly Munro, the name hope is derived from the Norse word 'hop' meaning bay.

Friday - Morven at 2313ft is the highest mountain in Caithness.

Saturday - Departure

Optional lower level walks may be made dependant on weather, etc. such as Bein Griam Beigg , the highest hill fort in Scotland, or a moorland walk using the train station at Altanbreach. Ben Kilbreck, another Munro, is also a possibility or some more coastal walking. The leader will decide if any change to the itinerary is made dependant on safety considerations.

Hikers are reminded to wear suitable clothing for the changing Scottish weather.  Adequate food and liquids also need to be taken.  advice on these will be given at the start of any walk.   At least a week's notice is required for a group to be accepted.
