What's New??
After a cracking start to the season over Easter, business has been very slow. Hopefully things will pick up this month. We had a very successful Curry Night on 20th April - a good night was had by all - some more than others . This month we have planned a Spanish night (Ole!) for 18th May. Sharon is cooking up a plethora of dishes to get your tastebuds doing overtime - see the menu in the restaurant - kidneys in sherry - yum, yum .
Tina's new horse, Wes, arrived and is happily ensconced in his new home, and being taught all kinds of tricks by the "old boy" Richard.
Brian finally brought his beloved MG TD from deepest Kent - a traumatic experience both for the car and for us. It is now tucked up in the garage to be polished up and brought out for special occasions. Brian doesn't like it getting wet, so there will be precious few opportunities to drive it!
Fishing in the Dunnet Head lochs commenced again this month. We sell fishing permits - the Northern Sands Hotel sell permits for fishing in St. Johns loch.
We have several events planned over the coming months:
A glimpse of the history and wildlife of Caithness and North Sutherland through the eyes of the local Countryside Ranger. Slides on Natural History, archeology and places to visit - largely the local area but also into North Sutherland.
