The Trust formed Friends of the North Highland Way as the voluntary sector arm of the North Highland Way project in December 2013. Some community councils still want a social enterprise with no commercial input, but there are no resources to run such a venture. It is envisaged in the long term that the Friends of the North Highland Way will become an association akin to the end to end association, but first we have to sort out the infrastructure.
